So after (and before Tina and Myron's wedding) I've had two projects going on. The first was painting my cousin elinore's play closet, she wanted tink, the mouse cheesestix from Tinkerbell and I threw in the pixi tree for fun. I finally finished it Saturday night (or Friday??) ! The second project is the building of my new mini apartment in the shop. Yep, that's right, I've been learning all kinds of skills! (haha) I didn't realize how much framing, electrical, insulating, and sheet rock etc were so fun! ha. Actually it hasn't been so bad because my dad has been helping me out with a lot of it too. I'm also going to put a mural on my wall as well! Very excited about that...and I'm still working on getting my pictures transferred from my camera to the computer! Hopefully they will be on here before I leave to New Hampshire in August! Keep an eye out!

Post-Wedding

So this last weekend was Crazy! (or should I say the last month) preparing for Tina and Myron's wedding, yesterday. Was beautiful! My feet hurt and i'm exhausted today but it was totally worth it to be there with my friends and watch them exchange vows. I couldn't help but laugh when right after the wedding the photographer wanted more pictures of the bridal party and I told Tina- "go get your husband" and she laughs and does a little happy dance and runs over to him. lucky girl :) So now they are off on their honeymoon and I'm sitting here this afternoon finally letting the world in on a little bit of what's going on. I would post pictures of the wedding and last night out too- but guess what? my camera needs some sort of memory card transfer -to-the-computer thing. Go figure. :) so- hopefully soon i'll be able to astonish you with my photography skills... until then, barely keeping my eyes open..

Worship Night!!!

Since I have failed to keep a constant running commentary on my life (that has been going by so fast I myself am having to write everything down in a schedule book..which, by the way if I lost I would DIE) I would like to cordially invite anyone who is interested about my trip to come and worship God with us on May 8th (next friday night) 7pm at Matt and Mindy Seppala's! We will have music, singing and I will present! We are actually hoping to keep this going at least once a month (minus the re-telling of my adventures, of course.. :D)
As for what I'm doing now..I am currently filling out an application for YWAM in Eagle Rock Colorado to take their DTS (discipleship training school) program! To raise the funds i've started my massage business on a donation basis, working in-home. It's really been great and I've been keeping really busy. I've loved seeing the positive changes in the lives of the people I've been working with! I've also interviewed with IQ credit union to become the massage therapist for their 9 branches...hopefully that will work out too! Aside from work, I have a new Puppy!!! his name is Charlie (thanks to branden) and is the sweetest thing ever. Really mellow and intelligent! He's definitely been keeping me on my toes as far as patience goes though- he likes to bite when he gets playful...anyway...I'm SO happy to be home!!!!!!!

Cape Town, South Africa

Hello everyone!! sorry there aren't any pictures yet, you can expect them at the end of March as I won't have computer access much longer now. We leave on our trip for the Northern Cape starting February 15th! How exciting! we will be traveling to smaller villages etc and working through a missionary organization that reaches smaller groups. There is so much we are going to see and learn, I'm sure!
As for right now, it's so beautiful here but I miss my freedom and home and all of you, terribly! There is always something going on here, from a Braai (African version of a BBQ) to biblestudies, to traveling, to..oh and I'll be starting to play on a girls soccer team here with some of they High school girls, really excited about that, although we don't really have a field- theirs is pretty dusty and messed up..thought nothing could be worse than our muddy fields of Hockinson, well...i was wrong! We also hiked up table mountain yesterday, a 2 hour hike! It was so much fun, and a beautiful view after the clouds parted a bit! After we went up some of our group went down on the cable cars while the rest of us hiked our way back down, except for myself, one of the leaders Mo, and another african who ran down and got back in 40 minutes! haha, my legs were shaking so bad i had to stop multiple times. But it was so fun! and hOt! I haven't been that sweaty since playing soccer in Kona. So I slept great last night and am now sore! Went to a Church called King of Kings today, the pastor is great, although I'm really missing knowing everyone (or almost everyone) at church...can't wait to see you all! For now though, I'm still having fun traveling and experiencing the culture differences here and other things that God has been teaching me. Can't wait to telly you all more! Love forever!!
